I really appreciated Brook’s acknowledgment that being a wedding photographer is so much more than someone taking pictures. While there is certainly a technical aspect to the trade, the social and personal side of the business is just as important, if not more. Managing the bride’s, groom’s and guest’s time largely falls in the lap of the photographer. Accordingly their role in the event is paramount and should not be trusted to just anyone. Know your photographer, trust their judgment and enjoy the day! Kudos Brooke!
This podcast session is useful for seasoned professional and even more so for newbies and aspiring photographers. It is highly inspirational and puts photography back into perspective. Education as a theme was mentioned in this podcast and I would like to further emphasize it. As wedding and portrait photographers, we deal with the end clients directly, and more than the great images that you are delivering to them, you are also educating them about the craft. This is a constant and never ending part of our career and it is about how we approach this that would makes us a better photographer. Excellent topic to touch on. Now I need to get some Brookies to listen to this. Thank you Brooke and Thann!
